Huguenin of Le Locle is one of Switzerland's most respected medal and badge makers — a name you rarely see on a brooch at this price point.
A mid-century Swiss souvenir brooch in silver-tone metal, relief-engraved with a mountain landscape, an edelweiss flower, and the name "Wilderswil" — a village in the Bernese Oberland, gateway to the Jungfrau region. The heraldic emblem at the lower left is the coat of arms of Wilderswil. The entire scene is pressed and engraved into the metal in the tradition of Swiss commemorative badge-making.
The octagonal form is compact — roughly 3 × 2 cm — with bevelled edges and a clean, weighty feel for its small size.
Wears well on a coat lapel or jacket collar. The silver tone and restrained relief make it easy to pair with other silver pieces. Works equally as a travel memento or as a piece in a brooch collection focused on figural or souvenir pins.
