A mid-century evening clutch entirely covered in tiny glass beads worked into a floral pattern — dark charcoal ground with pink roses and grey-green leaves. The frame is gold-tone with two ornate filigree ball knobs that form the kiss-lock clasp. Interior is lined in gathered mauve satin. A short chain handle, 22 cm long, sits at the side.
The beadwork is tight and consistent across the surface, which signals high-quality production. These pieces were made in continental Europe — France, Belgium, or possibly Japan — and were standard evening accessories from the late 1940s through the 1960s.
