Vintage 1950s Bronze Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Drop Earrings Clips Screw Back

Aurora borealis stones this small and this intact are not easy to find.

A pair of mid-century drop earrings in bronze-tone metal. Each earring has a central oval aurora borealis rhinestone — the iridescent coating shifts from blue to pink to green depending on the light — surrounded by a cluster of small clear rhinestones. A clear faceted teardrop rhinestone hangs below on a short link.

The screw-back closure dates these to the 1950s, before clip-backs became standard. The bronze-tone setting has developed a warm patina consistent with age.

The drop length keeps these within everyday scale — not too small to lose, not so long they catch on a collar. They work with both a plain neckline and a printed blouse, and the AB stone gives enough colour that no other jewellery is needed.
