Vintage 1950s Gold-Tone Amethyst Rhinestone Bib Necklace Geometric Fan Lattice

The lattice bib design — two rows of small pink rhinestones framing marquise amethyst stones in an open geometric pattern — is a mid-century construction you rarely see this intact.

A 1950s–1960s rhinestone bib necklace in gold-tone metal, set with deep amethyst-purple marquise rhinestones and smaller round light-rose rhinestones throughout the chain and bib section. The open lattice front fans out from the chain in a scalloped arc, with each stone individually prong-set.

The construction quality is high — the prong settings are clean, the stones uniform in size and depth, the chain neat. No maker's mark, which was common for quality unsigned costume jewellery of this period.

The scale is statement-level: the bib sits wide across the décolletage and works with a V-neck or a square neckline. Dresses with an open neckline carry it best. The purple-and-pink palette reads well against dark fabrics — navy, black, or deep green — and works equally well with ivory or cream.
