Farthing coin cufflinks are the kind of thing that used to be made as a gentleman's keepsake — and these have survived with their original box.
A pair of mid-century cufflinks made from genuine British farthing coins (dated 1949), mounted in gold-tone settings with a T-bar fitting. The coin face shows the wren, which appeared on the British farthing from 1937 until the coin was withdrawn in 1960 — placing the probable date of these cufflinks in the 1950s.
They come in the original black leatherette presentation box with cream satin lining and black velvet coin bed, which is intact and presentable.
A good choice for a collector of British memorabilia, or as a conversation piece at the cuff.
