British military cap badges from this regiment are increasingly hard to find in this condition.
A mid-century British Army cap badge for the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, in two-tone metal: a gold-tone curved scroll banner with the regimental name, surmounted by the regiment's silver-tone antelope figure. The slider fitting on the reverse is the standard British cap badge mount of the period.
The Royal Warwickshire Regiment was an English infantry regiment with roots going back to 1674. The antelope is its traditional badge animal — an unusual and distinctive motif compared to the more common lion or crown designs.
Works pinned to a jacket lapel, a military display board, or as part of a collection of British regimental badges. The two-tone finish — gold scroll, silver antelope — photographs well and reads clearly at a small scale.
