Vintage 1950s Silver-Tone Rhinestone Amethyst Cascade Drop Necklace Costume Bib

Silver-tone rhinestone necklaces in this cascading bib format rarely come through with all the stones still bright and seated.

A mid-century piece — most likely 1950s — in silver-tone metal with rows of clear faceted rhinestones forming the main body of the bib, terminating in three graduated drops, each tipped with a larger oval amethyst-coloured rhinestone. The stones are foil-backed, which is how they catch light so cleanly. Spring-ring clasp with an extension chain for adjustable fit.

The structure is formal but not heavy — the cascade sits flat against the collarbone and moves well.
