Banded agate in this honey-and-dark-brown tone doesn't often appear in open metalwork settings this scale.
A 1970s gold-tone pendant, round disc form with an open fretwork frame — rectangular cut-outs arranged radially around a central oval agate cabochon. The stone is natural banded agate with distinct layered striping in dark brown, amber and near-black. The bezel is set with fine granulation detail. No chain included — pendant only.
The open lattice construction keeps the piece light despite the large diameter. The textured gold-tone surface has the character typical of 1970s handcraft-influenced costume jewellery.
Thread it on a long chain for a layered 1970s look, or wear solo on a leather cord for a more minimal effect. The 5.5 cm disc reads as a centrepiece piece — this is not a subtle accent, but it sits flat and hangs well.
