The combination of pale honey banded onyx and gilded Baroque scrollwork handles is not something made today.
A decorative urn vase in classical form — a baluster stone body set into a silver-tone metal frame with a flared trumpet neck and beaded foot. The central section is turned from a pale honey and amber honey onyx with characteristic flowing veins. The two ornate handles are cast in gold-tone metal with rococo scrollwork detail.
No visible maker's mark on the base. Construction style — separate stone and metal sections joined at collar and foot — is typical of Italian or Eastern European decorative pieces from the 1970s.
Sits best on a mantelpiece or sideboard where the two-tone metal and stone combination reads clearly. The trophy-urn silhouette is substantial enough to anchor a vignette but not so large it dominates a shelf. The stone body catches warm light well and shifts in colour from pale lime to honey-amber depending on the angle.
