Novelty cufflinks with this brand of dry British pub humour are harder to find than they look.
A pair from the 1970s–1980s in silver-tone metal, each face bearing a cartoon double-entendre illustration under a clear dome: one reads "Big Jugs" with a drawing of a jug, the other "Small Buns" with a bread roll. The kind of thing you'd find in a seaside gift shop or a proper British pub, and the kind of thing that gets kept rather than thrown out.
The T-bar toggle closure is fully functional and the silver-tone setting is clean. Worn once at a Christmas dinner, kept in a drawer ever since — which is exactly how these survive.
These sit well with a plain white shirt or a sober suit — the contrast is the point. The scale is compact, around 1.5 cm square, so they don't shout. Men who like a quiet joke in their accessories will know what to do with these.
