Hard-sided suitcases from the Soviet era are getting harder to find outside family collections.

This is a 1970s-1980s Soviet-made hard-shell suitcase, its exterior wrapped in mustard-tan vinyl with black trim, two metal snap latches, and a centre carry handle. It belonged to the seller's father, who served in the Soviet military, and shows the honest wear of a case that was actually used.

The interior is lined in warm gold satin with canvas retaining straps, and one panel is backed with a page from a Soviet-era newspaper — a genuine period detail rather than a reproduction touch.

At 48 × 35 × 18 cm, it reads well stacked on a shelf or used as a low table riser, and the latches and handle still work if it's wanted for actual travel or storage. Pairs naturally with other vintage trunks and leather luggage in an entryway or bedroom corner.
