Ceramic cufflinks from this period are genuinely hard to find — most were mass-produced in metal, not hand-glazed.
A pair of triangular studio ceramic cufflinks, each face fired with a mottled two-tone glaze in teal and dusty rose. The glaze pools and blends in the kiln — no two faces are identical, which is characteristic of hand-applied studio work from the 1970s. The ceramic tiles sit in silver-tone bezels with gold-tone toggle-bar fittings on the reverse.
The finish has the texture and depth you get from wood-fired or studio kiln work rather than factory production. The colours are muted and earthy — not loud, which makes them easier to wear.
These work well with a plain white or cream shirt — the teal and rose read as a considered detail rather than a statement. The triangular profile is geometric without being aggressive, and the toggle mechanism fastens securely.
