Glass-and-brass jewellery boxes in this geometric form are not as common as they once were.
A small octagonal box in brass-framed bevelled glass, with an etched rose motif on the lid panel. The interior base is a mirrored panel — aged now, with the soft foxing that comes with time — set within a frame of faceted glass sides. Ball feet at each corner of the octagon hold it just off the surface.
The Art Deco geometry is in the structure itself: the bevelled angles, the clean brass lines, the disciplined symmetry of the form.
Small enough for a bedside table or dressing table. The open interior suits a few rings, a watch, or a pair of earrings laid flat. The glass sides catch light from any angle, and the etched lid gives it enough character to read as decorative even when empty.
