Figural brooches of Highland pipers were a staple of Scottish souvenir craft, but finding one with the enamel detail this intact is less common.
A gold-tone metal brooch in the form of a Scottish Highland bagpiper — full uniform depicted: feathered cap, military jacket in navy enamel, tartan kilt in red and burgundy, white hose with green flashes. The figure is caught mid-stride, pipes raised. The coloring is applied in opaque enamel fills across a cast gold-tone base.
The scale is small — 4 cm tall — which makes it work on a lapel without overwhelming the garment. Wearable on a jacket, blazer, or wool coat. Works as a regional keepsake piece or for anyone drawn to figural costume jewelry with a clear subject.
