Open filigree work in this navette shape is less common than the solid pressed styles from the same period.
A mid-century gold-tone brooch in a pointed oval — navette — silhouette, built from open lacework panels divided by a diagonal cross band. A single clear round stone sits at the centre intersection. The construction is cast metalwork with a textured edge border and scrolled interior details.
The filigree lends the piece visual lightness despite the bold shape — it doesn't sit heavy on fabric the way solid cast brooches do.
At 5 × 2 cm, the scale is mid-sized — readable on a lapel or collar, not overpowering. It works on a blazer, a wool coat, or pinned to a scarf. The geometric structure reads well against plain fabric; busy patterns diminish it.
