I rarely see vintage brooches with all the original faux-pearl stones still intact.
A mid-century floral brooch, likely 1960s, in gold-tone metal with five cream-tone faux-pearl cabochons arranged in a delicate botanical cluster. The flowers are rendered as abstract blooms, each topped with a pearl and flanked by textured leaves — the kind of whimsical design costume jewelers turned out by the thousands, yet rarely with all stones surviving intact.
The slight irregularity in the leaf detailing is typical of mid-century manufacture, where tooling was skilled but not uniform. The brooch does not carry a hallmark, which was common for exported pieces of this era.
The scale is modest — small enough for a collar or a jacket lapel, large enough for deliberate presence on a cardigan. Works equally well on denim as on tailored fabric. The pin mechanism is firm and secure.
