Bone china brooches in this format are genuinely uncommon — most painted china jewellery from this period was made as pendants or earrings, not pins.

An oval brooch with a painted still-life scene on bone china: peaches, pears, green and black grapes, and leaves on a warm golden-ochre ground. Set in a gold-tone metal frame with a scalloped decorative edge. The style follows the English china painting tradition of the 1960s and 1950s-1960s, producing small decorative objects in the manner of oil still-life painting.

The back is plain white bone china with a gold-tone C-clasp fitting.

The scale is compact — 5 cm across — so it pins neatly to a jacket lapel, scarf, or the collar of a blouse. The colours read warm: peach, russet, gold, green. Works with autumn palettes, cream, soft brown, and olive tones.
