Heraldic crest brooches in this two-piece articulated format are not easy to find.
A gold-tone brooch in two connected pieces: a sculptural bow on the left and a heraldic shield crest on the right. The shield carries a dark navy blue enamel heraldic figure and a central crimson red enamel panel with an inscribed motto. The two pieces are joined by a small ball link, giving the brooch a slight movement when worn.
The construction and enamel palette place this firmly in the 1970s–1980s — a period when novelty heraldic and crest jewellery was widely made for the souvenir and costume market.
The scale is compact enough for a lapel or a coat collar. The two-tone enamel reads well against dark fabrics — navy, black, or charcoal — and gives a slightly formal, crest-like impression without being stiff.
