The triskelion is one of the oldest heraldic symbols still in daily use — this small brooch carries it well.
A vintage gold-tone wishbone-frame brooch centred on a round pearlescent disc bearing a raised gold-tone triskelion — the three-legged emblem of the Isle of Man. The open marquise wire frame and shell-finish disc are typical of mid-century souvenir pieces made for the island's tourist trade.
No maker's mark on the back, which is consistent with small-run souvenir production of the period.
The scale is small enough to wear on a collar or lapel without any weight. Works on a coat, a blazer, or a knit — the contrast between the gold frame and the white disc reads clearly at a glance. A talking point for anyone who knows the Isle of Man symbol, and quietly decorative for anyone who doesn't.
