The broad marbled frame contrasts with the soft gathers of this grey-green clutch.
A 1960s fabric clutch with a rounded pouch body and short napped surface. The exterior gathers directly beneath the rigid frame, giving the lower edge a curved outline.
Irregular black, grey and cream marbling runs across the frame and its twin rounded clasp knobs. Inside, black lustrous lining contrasts with the gold-coloured inner frame. The kiss clasp opens and closes securely.
Carried in the hand, the rounded shape works with evening tailoring or a plain dress. The muted body keeps the patterned frame in focus without introducing a bright colour.
