Silk evening bags with this density of hand-applied beadwork are not easy to find in this condition.
A 1990s frame clutch from Leko, made in black silk with all-over embroidered floral motifs in deep burgundy velvet appliqué. The stems and borders are outlined with seed beads — a mix of aurora borealis iridescent, gold-tone, and red bugle beads — giving the surface a jewelled quality in any light. The brass-tone frame is engraved with a scroll pattern and closes with a rhinestone-set push-button clasp.
The interior is dark navy satin with a zip pocket. A long brass-tone chain strap (120 cm) detaches, and the bag can also be carried by the attached wrist loop on the frame.
Works for evening events, theatre, or any occasion where a bag is expected to do some of the visual work. The 24 × 18 cm body is wide enough to hold a phone, card holder, and small essentials without bulk.
