Filigree brooches with a centre cabochon in this scalloped-loop format are very much a mid-century production style.
A silver-tone brooch with an open filigree border of interconnected rounded loops, each junction accented with a small raised flower detail. The centre holds a large oval cabochon in a mottled light blue tone, set in a beaded collet.
The silhouette is oval and relatively flat, making it easy to wear on finer fabrics without pulling. The scalloped edge catches light at different angles.
At 4.5 × 3 cm it sits well on a coat lapel, cardigan, or the collar of a blouse. The silver tone and blue read quietly — not a bold statement, more a considered detail.
