Saint Christopher medallions made in France were a staple of mid-century Catholic devotional culture — car dashboards, coat lapels, soldiers' kit.
A circular silver-tone metal medallion with a raised figural scene at the centre and a royal blue enamel band around the circumference. The band carries the inscription "BEHOLD SAINT CHRISTOPHER THEN GO YOUR WAY IN SAFETY." The scalloped decorative border has two small eyelets at top and bottom, original to the design.
Stamped "MADE IN FRANCE" on the reverse. The French devotional badge industry was prolific from the 1940s through the 1960s, producing these in base metal with enamel banding for export across Europe and North America.
The size works as a lapel pin with a separate pin-back finding, or can be worn as a pendant on a chain threaded through the top eyelet. It sits quietly on a plain coat or jacket — a reference piece rather than a statement.
